A
thirteen song C.D. that explores the prairie experience, longing
for home and being Canadian. Johnny P. Johnson has ventured off
on his first solo project. It has been in the making for over
two years, but really started fourteen years ago after Johnny
moved to B.C. (Kootenays) from Saskatchewan, via Alberta and
Manitoba. Johnny originally comes from a farming background in
Saskatchewan and his music could be called roots - folk -
country.

Johnny
started singing gospel music at an early age and later moved to
song writing and performing with Kootenay bands (the nerV and
more recently the Midnight Harvesters). Whether performing at
Merrit Mountain Music Festival, Hootenany in the Hills, writing
the theme song for the B.C. Summer Games, receiving an
invitation on Morning side Radio, CBC, or singing at folk clubs
and peace rallies, Johnny seems to have a connection to the
spirit of music. Although his roots are reflected in his music,
the album takes on a Canadiana feel with songs about Manitoba,
Newfoundland and of being Canadian.
