JESSICA GRIFFITHS

Jessica was born March 22, 1988,  the final member( and only daughter) in the Griffiths clan. Born and raised in the lower mainland, it was evident even at an early age that she has a passion for the spotlight. 

During her elementary school days, Jessica became recognized as the girl that could really sing.She could be seen at assemblies singing the official school song, and was highlighted in the choir, band and drama productions and talent shows.  At the same time, Jessica devoted numerous hours to local theater productions and vocal lessons. Her first lead role was at age 9 when she played the role of " Alice" in Alice in Wonderland. In grade 7, she was presented the first Fine Arts Award.  

After graduating from grade school, she enrolled in Tamanawis Secondary School in Surrey. She soon was performing the National Anthem at school functions, and singing with the Senior Jazz band at concerts and competitions. While representing her school in grade 9 she won Best Senior Vocalist at the Surrey Envision Jazz Festival under the direction of her band teacher Mr. Ron Melnyk.  At 15, director Scott Wheeler awarded her the lead role in White Rock Theaters production " The Three Musketeers" where she played "D'Artangan".

In the summer of 2003 she began working with vocal coach Jan Cooper. Under his guidance she matured as a vocalist, developed stage presence and experienced recording in a studio for the first time. Along with students from Cooper Studios, she has performed at fashion shows, community festivals and musical variety shows.

Jessica also became a member of the BCCMA and CAMEO Canada, where she picked up the promising vocalist award three times.  

In July, 2004 Jessica opened for Anne Murray at the Merrit Mountain Music Festival. She also performed as a solo vocalist at the PNE, Chilliwack Exhibition, Cameo Festival, Vancouver Chinatown Festival, Aldergrove Fall Fair and Langley Country Celebration.

While Jessica loves to perform all kinds of music, her heart is warmed by country.  She describes it as" feeling like I'm at home".  At 16, this girl knows what she wants.

She is a fresh face, has a sparkling personality, relentless ambition, and her talent is undeniable.
