DANIELLE FOULDS

This talented 16 year old singer/songwriter from Maple Ridge says that music has always been in her heart. In fact, Danielle Foulds started singing before she even started talking.

With a voice that’s unique, affecting and surprisingly powerful, her original pop-rock and country-rock songs are well-crafted, and carry a message for all ages. She is in the process of recording with local studio musicians, so soon her music will be commercially available to add to your own collection.

Danielle has participated in numerous high profile fundraisers, appearing at such venues as The Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver, The Sundowner Pub in Surrey, The World of Smiles Telethon, and the very first Rock-101 FM Radiothon.

For this determined young lady, 2005 has already been quite an eventful year. She opened the show for the 2005 Shining Stars of Tomorrow charity concert at the Chan Fine Arts Center, UBC … and had the honor of also opening the show at the Youth for Youth stage, celebrating the 28th Annual Vancouver International Children’s Festival. Danielle has hosted many of her own fundraising events for BC Children’s Hospital – and this year, she was proud to be named their Official Ambassador for 2005.

Also this year, Danielle competed in the first-ever Cloverdale Idol Contest, and was excited to finish among the Top 10. From there, she earned a 2nd Place finish in the Port Moody Idol Contest – so she’s already shifting gears! And just prior to that, Danielle delivered a flawless program to more than 10,000 appreciative fans at the International Peace Arch Association’s Hands Across The Border festivities. In late July, she appeared at the Cameo Music Festival 2005, on the same bill as such famous performers as Jefferson Starship and Blue Oyster Cult. But if you want to hear her in the meantime, just tune into 100.7 Giant-FM, because they’ve play listed Danielle’s newest original song, Long Distance Calls.

Danielle has recently become a member of the BCCMA and competed in the

Country Unplugged 2005 Vocalists Competition, she was thrilled to place in

the top 10. Danielle practices regularly and performs Sundays at the Maple Ridge

    Hotel jam session.

Danielle has become a member of the BC. Song Writers association

along with SOCAN.  With all her hard work and dedication it is easy to see that Danielle Foulds is a inspiring young artist, and it would come of no surprise if we here more of  her songs on the air waves in the future
