AMBER NICHOLSON

Most spend their careers looking for a way to stand out. At 15, Amber Nicholson has found it! With a combination of her own original music, a gritty, powerful sound and energetic stage show, Amber has erupted onto the country scene. She’s been singing as long as she could talk, but it was in 2003 when she joined CAMEO Canada, that she decided to pursue her talent as a career. She found immediate success with CAMEO winning their START Award 4 times. This lead her to some studio time, where she recorded original songs of Pete Cordalis and Mark Wolfe to create her 10 song original CD, The Girl Next Door. In her dedicated nature to music and love of performing, Amber is always looking to keep herself busy by entering contests such as Mission Idol and the PNE Star Search, as well as supporting numerous causes performing at fundraisers. In summer, 2005 she had the amazing opportunity to play the Merritt Mountain Music Festival accompanied by award winning recording artists the Cruzeros. Not daunted at all by her age, Amber's natural ability, which most artists take years to polish, shone through as she entertained thousands of exuberant fans. Most recently, she had the honor to perform at the B.C. Country Music Awards 29th Annual Awards Show, with some of the best country talent in B.C. Amber exudes energy both on and off the stage and there’s simply no holding her back when she gets that microphone in her hand. Numerous musical influences have helped shape Amber’s edgy, confident, style. A true dynamo, Amber is definitely a girl in all ways, on the move!
