1993 Ed Molyski

Ed Molyski, born and raised in Surrey, B.C. is one of Canada’s top songwriters; plays one of the best lead guitars around and is a fine vocalist. He has written many top rated songs for other performers as well as his own bands, Midnite Rodeo Band and Wild Country.  Ed’s credits include many awards not only for composing top songs, but also for his unique style of playing the guitar. He has won instrumentalist of the year several times as well as Entertainer of the Year.  In 1985 Ed won the P.R.O. award for composing not one, but two of the top country songs of the year. “Rocky Mountain Opry” and “Slow Lovin”. This was quite an honor as there were only three awards awarded in this category. In the same year for “Memories” (Ray McAuley) Ed wrote all the songs on the album, played guitar, co-produced it and put the package together for R.C.A. records.  After Ray McAuley passed away, Ed, with Jess Lee, formed the Midnite Rodeo Band, their first song was a big hit “Nashville Just Wrote (Another Cheatin’Song)” he won an award for writing and was nominated for Top Country Producer of the Year for producing their first album.  Since then, Ed has won the P.R.O. Award for writing “Cowboy From the 40’s” top country song of the year. One of the first two MRB albums he wrote 8 of the 10 songs and on their third album he wrote all 10 songs “The Midnite Eagle Album” which he and Jess Lee produced and engineered in his own studio Bear Creek Studio and was released again by R.C.A. Records which to date have released 6 singles, those being “Cowboy From the 40’s”, “Boppin’In the Hall Again”, “Yellow Pages of Texas”, “Kentucky Lady”, “Midnite Eagle”, and “Oklahoma Hillbilly Heart” . Ed Molyski is still writing better songs than ever. He is constantly working in the studio both recording for other artists as well as his own songs add demos.
