The Higgins

This is a personal invitation to all our friends both old and new. We're proud to announce that our half-hour special, "4-Tracks," will debut on CMT Canada tonight, Monday, July 21st, at 7:30 pm Eastern (4:30 pm Pacific). There will also be an encore showing on July 28th at the same time.

We willl be shooting a new video for the title track of our CD, "Real Thing," right here in BC! We're fortunate to again have the award-winning team at Arkadia Pictures behind the cameras (thank you Stephano and Alex!)

Our next single, "Real Thing," has been released to radio, so we hope you'll start phoning in to request it!

Kelly Brock

Music from Kelly Brock’s CD, Rebel Kind (distributed thru Warner Music Canada) will be featured on no less than five television networks this summer. Two songs from her latest CD will be featured on the popular television drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation airing on CBS. As well, Brock will be heading off to Toronto to do a promotional tour for her latest release during the first week of August. She is scheduled (please see www.kellybrock.com for dates and times) to perform live and will be interviewed on CTV’s Canada AM, City TV’s Breakfast Television, CTS TV’s Real Life with Sharon Caddy and Erica Ehm’s Yummy Mummy Club TV. Brock will also be performing songs from her current CD at the HMV Superstore on 333 Yonge Street on Thursday August 7th at 7pm and at the Country Music Fest in Little Current, ON on Friday August 8th along with George Canyon, The Wilkinson’s, Jason Blaine and others. You can also catch Brock singing background vocals on CMT’s new TV show, Four Tracks, backing up West Coast country star, Aaron Pritchett. The show airs on CMT July 29th at 7pm EST.

BC Talent Search Winner

This years 2008 BC Talent Search winner, representing the "Half Time Bar and Grill" in Abbotsford is Mr. "Gentleman" Joe Bauman! Congratulations go out to Joe for doing such an amazing job and to his sponsor club "The Half Time Bar and Grill". Congratulations George and Jennifer, this is a second time win for you in the BC Talent Search competition.

Wiley Band/Dan Werboweski

Wiley Band of Kamloops has taken on 4 newly crafted pieces by B.C. Country songwriter Dan Werboweski/aka 12STRING along with other works of theirs to produce what promises to be a "Dynamic" EP/DEMO CD for all purpose distribution. "There will probably be a single produced right away which will be 2 songs, "Hey Cowboy" and a new Rodeo song, "Cool Rider" we expect to take on its form as the New Rodeo Song to be introduced this fall in prep time for the all venues rodeo circuit next year.

Steel Toe Boots

Our band is in full swing for the summer: we are playing in Alberta this month (Ranchmans in Calgary next weekend, and Wild West in Edmonton the weekend after that. In August we are playing at Peachfest and also in Banff at Wild Bill's, and then back for a weekend at Boone County at the end of August. The big news for us is that we are recording our first album late this summer with Kirby Kaye at TopSpinn Studios in Vancouver
(also of the band Whiskey Jane). He also produced their new album which is sounding great. We are shooting for a fall release. The band will also once again play the opening festivities at a big party called LB5Q at the University of Saskatchwan in Saskatoon in Sept.

Shanna Lynn

Shanna's first two singles from her self-entitled CD; ‘Wonderin’ and ‘As Long As You Love Me’ are both receiving airplay and rave revues on all major stations right across Canada. She will be headlining the Steveston Salmon Festival on July 1st and is a featured performer at the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta July 31st. Her second CD release concert is scheduled for November 2nd at the Gateway Theatre in Richmond.

Kenny Hess

Kenny was recently down in nashville recording his new Cd, and putting the finishing touches on a Gospel albumset to be released in July if all goes well.

Saving Grace

The debut Saving Grace disc, 'Big Sky' is finally ready for prime time! Produced by CCMA 'Producer of the Year' Tom McKillip and mixed by Juno 'Engineer of the Year' Kevin Churko, this first outing by Britt and Carly McKillip packs a big punch. Label talks are currently underway, and plans to release the CD will include a showcase at the September /08 CCMA's in Winnipeg.

As another point of interest, Carly will be touring B.C. throughout the month of June on the B.C. 150 Steam train, to celebrate British Columbia's 150th birthday. Playing keys and handling lead vocals, She'll be joining Randall and Tracy Prescott, Dennis marcenko, Mike Norman and her dad, Tom McKillip. Watch for it!"

Amber Nicholson

Amber rocked the house in Nashville accompanied by none other than Tanya Tuckers band as well she jammed with the likes of Dolly Partons band. Amber and her management are in the final negotiations to sign with CSA out of Calgary which includes high powered Ron Sacamoto and Jim Cressmen who also handle Jessie Farrell, Aaron Pritchett, Johnny Reid and George Canyon to mention a few. Amber is set to show her stuff at the Calgary Stampede next month she is well on her way and congratulations Amber on just graduating from High School. Look for her new release to radio this month. She will also be heading for Australia to perform for 5 days at the Gympie Muster Festival from August 31 through September 5th and appear at Disneyland in California October 11-12.

The Murray Band

The Murray Band is just warming up. We've been playing all sorts of local Lower Mainland Legions including Whalley, White Rock, Crescent Beach and Cloverdale. With the upcoming release of our first album, Down this Road, we hope to be playing for a lot more people very soon.
